USEFUL INFORMATION
A wedding in Poland
For those of you not familiar with a Polish wedding, as described in the "Programme of the day" tab, once we all come back from the church to the hotel, the ceremony will start and will be run on a continuous basis without any programmed interruptions with the same group of people throughout. The last official point of the programme will be at midnight but the DJ will be playing until the last person dancing. Toasts are very popular in Poland and normally people joining in the toast are expected to drink the entire glass they are holding. You are more than welcome to join in or even propose a toast. However, do not feel forced to drink up each time a toast is proposed if you do not feel comfortable with the pace.
Thematic
We are envisaging the ceremony in a classic style and with a smart dress-code, with men generally encouraged to wear a suit and ladies generally encouraged to wear a dress. We would be grateful if, as an homage to the bride's tradition men could endeavour to wear a bow-tie.
Kids section
Given the logistical constraints of the space we expect our friends to have arranged for their children to be looked after separately and arrive without them. For family members, you are more than welcome to bring your offspring with you but we would be grateful if you could let us know in advance. Whilst we will ensure that food and drink for the children are provided, we are not organising a separate programme for kids.
